Depending on the IT setup used by your organization, updates may not be automatically applied to your Drift Desktop App. When the application is out of date, some features and functionality may act strangely or break. To remedy this, users should check if they’re on the latest version by going to the menu and selecting Drift | Check for Updates (OS X) or Help | Check for Updates (Windows).
In some situations, your Organization’s IT solution may block Drift’s ability to apply updates.
If this happens, use the link below to manually reinstall the latest version of Drift, or speak with your IT Administrator:
Windows 10 or above, 64-bit
macOS 10.13 or above
Why did my app not update?
The following situations may result in Drift being unable to properly apply updates to your instance of the application:
- MAC OS only - The application isn’t properly moved after being downloaded and gets stuck in quarantine with your IT solution. Security checks prevent Drift from taking further action.
- Your security system is set to block updates from installed applications, or Drift is not set as an approved application on the organization’s firewall.
