With Conversational Landing Pages, you can take potential customers from an ad directly to a conversation with your bot or team! You can create Conversational Landing Pages as a standalone Playbook or use any of your existing bot Playbooks in landing page form as well!
In this doc, we'll cover
- creating, designing, and sharing a new Conversational Landing Page (CLP) from scratch
- using CLPs to test a bot Playbook
- things to note
Conversational Landing Pages are available on our Pro plan and above.
How to Create a New Conversational Landing Page
First, go to the Playbooks homepage, click Create new Playbook, and then select Landing pages.
Here you will be given the option to create a new Playbook. Select Conversational landing page.
You'll be brought into the visual builder where you can create your bot flow with skills, questions, and goals!
Customize Your Landing Page's Design
You'll see two tabs within the top navigation bar to help you customize your landing page - Styles and Content.
Within the Styles tab, you'll be able to edit the color of your landing page. You can use either a solid color or a gradient. Click the Background fill dropdown to change which you're using.
For the Gradient, you can select two colors. Click in the box for Color 1 or Color 2 to select or enter a HEX, RGB, or HSL value!
Color Mode: You can select either Light mode or Dark mode. Light mode consists of dark text on light backgrounds, while Dark mode consists of light text on dark backgrounds.
Within the Content section, you'll be able to customize the header of your landing page to include your company logo, your company name, a custom logo, and an optional title!

Sharing your Landing Page
On the Share tab, you can edit the URL slug of your landing page! Clicking "View" will show you what your landing page will look like!
If you've set up a custom subdomain for your landing pages, you'll see that CNAME before the slug. If you want to learn more about setting up a custom subdomain, click here!
Testing Your Bot Playbook Using a Conversational Landing Page
If you create a new bot Playbook, you'll see a Test tab to the left of DriftLink. Here, you can use a landing page specifically to see your bot flow without the context of the rest of your site, and without having to worry about whether that Playbook is showing to your site visitors!
You can edit the slug of your URL, and clicking View will launch the bot within a CLP.
These tests currently count towards and impact your Playbook metrics.
For more on testing bot Playbooks, check out this doc.
You can create a Custom Domain Name for your Landing Pages. Check out the help doc here!
If you'd like to embed your Conversational Landing Pages directly into your page, check out our developer documentation!
Conversational Landing Pages are typically meant for ad campaigns, so we automatically hide them from search engines by default.
Conversations started from my Conversational Landing Pages only go to my default inbox, not the target inbox I set for the Playbook. Why is that?
Currently, for conversations started from an interaction on a landing page, the target inbox setting is not evaluated if the Playbook is turned off.
For existing bot Playbooks with the Landing page tab, use the Only fire Playbook on landing page link to ensure conversations go to the desired inbox in addition to turning your Playbook on. This will override any targeting conditions in the same way that a DriftLink does.
For new bot Playbooks with the Test tab, use the Only fire Playbook on testing link to ensure conversations go to the desired inbox in addition to turning your Playbook on. This will override any targeting conditions in the same way that a DriftLink does.
For new landing pages, simply turn your Playbook on.
