We're guessing you want to book demos and we want to help! There's many ways to do this in Drift. We try to provide as many avenues to your leads, prospects, and customers by allowing you to book meetings directly from your Drift profile, within a Chat Playbook calendar drop, an Email Signature Playbook, with the Bot skills: Team Availability and Abandoned Scheduling, sharing a direct scheduling link and Through our API (see related content at the bottom of the pages for details on how to do this via the Drift API)
In this article: we will go over the essential setup in just a few steps!
Set up your Calendar
Drift Insider Note:
Did you know we have a class on this topic over on Drift Insider? Check it out HERE
Follow the guide here.
Drift integrates with your personal calendar, with support for Google and Outlook. The integration will automatically check your busy time slots and make sure that meetings never get double-booked for you.
Before moving on, make sure that you're happy with your Meeting types (located at the bottom of the screen.)
You can create different types of meetings with varying locations or durations, and you can also make Group Meetings as well by clicking the "New meeting type" button.
Default Meeting Length:
If your default meeting isn't 30 minutes, you'll want to change the meeting length. You can do this by clicking on the meeting you want to edit and change the duration.
As a reminder, meeting types that aren't your default type need to be manually linked/dropped in conversations, and you might want to change the name to something that would give context to your meeting e.g. "Discovery Call" or "Product Demo." Default meetings will also be the ones that will be dropped when using playbooks, and you may want to plug your favorite remote tool into the body of your meeting as well if you'd like to utilize Skype or Zoom for your meetings.
Create your Drift Profile
If your sales reps are booking meetings, we recommend setting up Drift profiles by going to Settings > My Settings > Drift Profile. For further info on Drift profiles, check out this doc on editing your profile.
Using the Meetings Dashboard
Once you've connected your calendar, the Meetings Dashboard is your home for all things meetings! From here, you can easily copy and share your personal meeting link, set a weekly meetings goal, and see which of your teammates are booking the most meetings (we love friendly competition).
