You've put a lot of time and effort into crafting the perfect Playbook. It finally looks just the way you want it to. You publish the changes, but when you go to your site to see the final product you see - the old version? Where are the changes you spent so long making?
First things first, are you looking at the Welcome Message Playbook or the Default Greeting? If you're confused about the difference between the two, check out this doc.
Back to your edits, don't worry, they exist! Our Playbooks are built to recognize the cookies of visitors (this includes you!), so when you edit the way your Playbook looks or functions sometimes the old Playbook will still be visible to you on your site. You can access your edits in one of two ways!
1. Interact with the Playbook and then refresh.
Go to the URL where this Playbook is set to fire, and interact with it - this can mean chatting in or merely just exiting out of the Playbook when it appears. Once you've interacted with it, refresh the page! You should see the newest version of your Playbook fire.
Let's give the situation a bit of context! To be clear, Drift will not fire an old Playbook. When a Playbook fires, it starts a new conversation. If that conversation stays unread (meaning that you have not interacted with it), it will continue to show. Drift will always show the latest unread conversation to site visitors. Once you've interacted with the old conversation the new Playbook will fire, creating a new conversation.
2. Open your site in a new Incognito window (not a tab).
Opening your site in an incognito window essentially allows you to interact with/view your site in the same way a brand new site visitor would. By opening the site where your Playbook is firing, you should see the newest version of said Playbook.
