Auto Enroll a Customer in Marketing Emails after Reaching a Goal
A customer has engaged with your Bot! Through chatting, this customer met a goal and was qualified by your Bot. Naturally, you want to enroll that customer to receive your marketing emails. Rather than sifting through your contacts and manually selecting users to enroll in to receiving marketing emails, Drift makes it easy for you to automatically enroll these customers.
There are two ways to enroll contacts into a marketing email.
- Using a Segment
- Using the "Enroll in Email Playbook" node
1. Enroll Contacts Using a Segment
Start off by selecting the chat playbook that you would like to pull qualified leads from. In this case we are using "Auto-Enroll Marketing."
Select your goal and audience
Add a filter
Select your marketing emails
From here we need to select the email sequence that these Bot qualified customers will be automatically enrolled in. To do this, navigate back to playbooks and select the appropriate email playbook and navigate to "Audience," which can be seen on the screenshot below.
Add the dynamic segment to the marketing emails
We previously created the Dynamic Segment "Auto-Enroll Marketing Emails," simply click the check box next to this segment to add it to this email sequence.
2. Using the "Enroll in Email Playbook" Node
Now you can add people who interact with your Bot Playbooks directly to Marketing Emails right in the playbook visual builder!
To do that, just add the "Enroll in Email Playbook" Node to the flow!
Once you add the "Enroll in Email Playbook" Node to the playbook, select the marketing email campaign site visitors should be enrolled in when they reach that part of the playbook flow.
Once added to the flow, site visitors who complete the playbook will automatically be added to the selected Marketing Email Playbook.
