Static segments are the easiest way to group your contacts for the purpose of retargeting.
A static segment will remain unchanged until you manually add individuals to that segment, as opposed to dynamic segments that continuously grow as contacts meet the specific criteria.
Here is how to create a static segment:
First, go to your Contacts section
Then select the Create Filter button
Specify the criteria for this segment by adding AND/OR filters and groups
Once you apply the appropriate filter groups, hit the "Create Segment" to go to the final step
Select Static Segment and customize the name of it to complete the flow
Quick Segment Creation or Addition
We also made an easier way to create or add to a Static Segment!!
Simply select one or more contacts in the Contacts section.
Then click, Create A Static Segment and either name it or select an existing one to add to!
View Your Segment
After creating the segment, you can find it easily!
Go go Contacts, select the Segments tab, and search for the name of your segment.
In this view you can use the "Manage members" dropdown to:
- Examine details of your segment
- Export the segment as a CSV
- Clear out the contacts in this segment
- Delete the segment entirely
