By default, Drift Email will not process any replies that come from your own company domain, in order to prevent internal communication from being forwarded to teammates or sent to your MAP.
There are a few reasons why you might want to exclude replies from other domains as well:
- Additional domains that your company uses
- Partners or vendors you work with
- Known spam domains
- Free email domains (if these contacts are not valuable to you), such as Gmail, Yahoo, etc.
Here's how to add or remove domains from the Ignored Domains list:
Navigate to Settings > Ignore Domains
Add the domains you want to ignore - the format should be something like "drift.com" (as opposed to "www.drift.com").
Ignored domains will apply to all future replies processed, but will not retroactively remove any replies that have already come into drift.
This is a wildcard setting, meaning any subdomain of a domain you ignore will also be excluded from Drift. For example, if you ignore drift.com, this will also ignore replies from reply.drift.com, hello.drift.com, etc.
