Do you have multiple data sources that you want to handle differently, do you want to filter by subject line, or want to segment out replies based on certain keywords? If so, Drift Email filters can help you to segment your data and send it through the right skills.
You can find each of the Drift Email filters under the Emails step of your skills set up. Each filter allows you to either include or exclude by each parameter of the filter. There are 5 different filters available to you.

Below, we dive into each filter and how to use it.
1. Filter by Language
Drift Email offers the ability to categorize emails in multiple languages. In this filter, you can decide which languages you want to process replies in for your skill. Simply check the languages that you would like to include in your skill.

3. Filter by body text
In this filter, you can specify keywords that you would like to include or exclude in your skill. For examples, let's say you want all replies containing the word "demo" to be routed through this skill. You would add a filter for body text that would look like this:
You can also exclude certain words from being processed through your skill. For example, if you didn't want any emails containing the word "recording" to be routed, you could exclude in your body filter like so:
It's important to note that you can have multiple keywords in this filter, you would just want to add each keyword as it's own filter.
4. Filter by subject
Here, you can specify keywords to search for on the subject line, rather than the body text. This filter works in the same way as the body text filter, but just searches on the subject line. This is a great way to help segment by campaigns for specific skills. In this example, we're only processing emails that mention the word "webinar" in their subject line:
5. Filter by source
This filter allows you to choose a source for the emails that run through your skill. The source refers to the email address you sent from originally. For example, you may want to only send replies to a webinar campaign to a webinar organizer. Therefore, you may want to use a source filter for your webinars specific alias (in our example, email@example.com), so that only emails sent to that address would run through your skill. In this example, this is what your filter would look like:
You can also exclude sources in this filter. This would be applicable if you didn't want emails sent to a certain source to be processed. For example, you may want to make sure that no webinars emails are sent on. If you wanted to exclude emails sent to firstname.lastname@example.org, select or add the email source in the "Source is not" row at the bottom:
Overall, source filters can be very helpful if you use multiple email addresses or domains for marketing. This filter allows you to segment your skills so that you can have specific skills for each alias.
