So maybe you've decided to step away from Drift, or maybe you just need to get the info exported so you can analyze your details on paper, or maybe your entire business is pivoting. In this quick check list we'll go over some of the practices of moving your data outside of Drift before you shut down.
Turning off your Playbooks
Turning off your playbooks is simple. To do this, go to Playbooks > Chat Playbooks. From here, hover your mouse over the playbook you'd like to turn off, and select the action button at the end of the column. From here, you can Turn off or Archive your playbook.
Exporting your Contacts
Exporting your contacts is a two step process. First, you want to create a Segment which includes the contact info you'd like to export. Once completed, you will then Export your Segment. Note, if you already have a Segment which includes the info you'd like to export, you can skip this part.
To Create a Segment with the contact info you'd like to export go to Visitors > Contact segments and then select New Segment.
After clicking New Segment, select New contact segment and then apply whichever filters you'd like to include. For example, you may just want Email addresses, or maybe both Email addresses and Aliases. You can include as much detail, or as little as you'd like. Once you have your Segment created, you'll then go to Visitors > Contact segments and click on the name of your segment that you'd like to export. Next, select Manage members > Export CSV of segment and your report will be Emailed to your inbox.
Exporting Conversation Reports
Drift allows you to Export details on Chats, Meetings, and Calls. To do this, go to Reports and select Chats, Meetings, or Calls depending on what you'd like to export. Select the time frame at the top of the screen. Next, simply look for the Export CSV button in the report you would like data for. In the example below, you'll see the steps we took to Export our Conversations tags for the past 3 months by going to Reports > Chats and selecting our timeframe before selecting the Export CSV button in the Conversation.
Simple repeat this process for any data you'd like to export such as, New conversations, meetings, booked, or your teams performance.
Removing the Drift Widget from your site
You can cross reference with this information with the source code of your site to hunt down the portion that you'll want to remove. Additionally, if you installed a Drift extension via a Segment plugin you can choose to disconnect it form this page as well.
