What are Playbooks?
If you've ever seen the personalized messages that pop up on www.drift.com when you enter the site and wondered what you were looking at, then your answer is a Playbook!
Playbooks are central to Drift and what we do! They are automated message workflows and campaigns that proactively reach out to site visitors and connect leads to your team.
The mission of Drift playbooks is to qualify all site traffic, route every lead to the right rep, and make it easy for the marketer to demonstrate their success. To learn more about Drift playbooks, watch this Drift Insider Playbooks video.

Note: Syncing Salesforce accounts into Drift requires ABM and the Premium or Enterprise plan.
Drift ABM software allows for you to send personalized, and targeted messages to the people that really matter. To set up ABM playbooks, follow the steps outlined here.
When a prospect from a company lands on your marketing site, members of your Sales team should be able to be notified so as to not miss an opportunity to engage with them and have a greater probability of closing a deal. At the same time, your prospect should be immediately engaged in a customized manner, so they have a message from you there to greet them letting them know you're available to talk.
In order to target these accounts, you can upload a list of accounts you want to target with a personalized message and have your sales team start to enjoy prospecting again.
Data Privacy Consent (GDPR Compliance)
For teams that need to stay GDPR compliant, end-users may need to give consent for Drift to save their information. It’s important to create consent forms for your customers, which can be created within your Drift account. To learn more about data privacy and your Drift account, click here.
To Create a Consent Form:
- Go to Settings
- Under settings locate Data Privacy in the side navigation
- Click “Create form”
- Fill out the necessary fields
Domain Authentication (DKIM)
In order to make sure that your chat transcripts and various emails don't get marked as spam or junk when you send it to yourself or others, you will need to make sure that you are authenticating it with DKIM. DKIM authentication is a sender identification tool that protects email senders and their recipients from spam, forgery, and phishing.
Domain authentication, sometimes known as whitelabel, shows Internet Service Providers that the email sending service we use has permission to send emails on behalf of your domain. Drift offers this service so that instead of it looking like emails are coming from Drift, your end users can now see that emails are coming directly from you!
Ok, now that you've got this step down, lets move onto Step 4 and Set up Some of your Integrations!
