You’re doing great! The next step is getting your team up and running with their accounts. With our onboarding guides, your sales teams will be able to get started and begin to crush the metrics that matter to them most.
Below is a list of the important steps a sales rep needs to take to ensure that they set up their account properly.
To set up Account:
- Locate the email invite and activate your account
- Enter your name and upload a photo
- Set a password for your account
- Connect your Gmail or Office 365 Calendar (learn more about connecting here)
- Install Drift Chrome extension (learn more about Chrome extension here)
After you’ve connected your calendar, you can customize the types of meetings visitors book on your calendar. To learn more on how to set up and edit meetings with Drift, click here.
To customize meetings:
- Go to Settings
- Locate My Settings in the side navigation
- Under My Settings click “Meetings”
- Click the button labeled “New meeting type”
- Follow the steps to setting up a new meeting
Now that your account is set-up, it’s important to understand the Drift platform. To start conversations with customers in real time, Drift has both the conversation view in the platform and a desktop application.
Depending on your account permissions (set by your admin), you’ll either see all conversations or just those that you’re a participant in. If you’re looking for more support, check out the Drift Chat user guide here.
Drift Desktop App
The Drift Desktop App is an application for your desktop device which will allow you to quickly access your Drift conversations! When using this app, messaging prospects via Drift live chat will be faster, easier, and more reliable than ever. To understand the Desktop App further, click here.
Rep status is important to understand as a team, in order to organize who's responsible for new conversations coming in.
To change your status, flip the toggle in the bottom left of your screen or click your avatar and flip the switch there.
