Notifications are utilized to notify your team when a new chat comes in. As an admin, it's helpful to understand how notifications work, where the settings are, and how you can troubleshoot and test them.

Notifications can be adjusted in-app. These notification settings are separate from your browser notification settings, and strictly pertain to mobile notifications.
By tapping Me and then Notifications, you can set notifications on and off, snooze your notifications, adjust the alert sound, and set which occasions that you’d like to receive notifications. From this same spot, you'll be able to test your notifications on your mobile device by selecting "Troubleshoot notifications" at the bottom of the screen.
Notifications settings that you can choose depending on your needs and how involved you want to be with the Drift app. You can change your notifications by clicking your profile icon > Notifications. For a more in depth guide on this screen, check out our user guide on notifications here.
How to Test Notifications
Want to ensure your notifications are working properly? You can easily test them out from within your notification settings! Start by clicking your profile icon > Notifications and scroll down to the bottom. Here you can test your desktop and email notification by clicking the Send test button.
Pc/Mac Settings to Check to ensure your Notifications are coming through
If you are using just the Drift Desktop App you will want to make sure that the app is allowed to send notifications on your device. If you are using Drift through a web browser you will want to check the same notification settings but ensure that Google Chrome or your web browser is also allowed to send notifications to your device.
1. Click System Preferences > Notifications
2. Look for the Drift desktop app permission and ensure that you have it set to "allow".

2. Ensure that your device is set to allow notifications, and make sure that the Drift desktop app or your web browser, depending on how you use Drift, is allowed to send notifications.
